Why vote for your local programme or institute Student Council or The Student Council?
By voting for our candidates you can be sure that opinions and knowledge from all the local student councils are represented
The Student Council is built on the principle of local representation. It means, your local student council is part of The Student Council. Therefore we can safeguard the students’ interests across the University based on all the different studies and educations. The Student Council is a student political interest organisation which year round works for all students – independent of party political standpoint. Therefore, all decisions in the Student Council are based upon input from the local student councils and all the students at Aarhus University. By voting for our candidates you can be sure that all opinions and knowledge from all the local student councils are represented.
Together with the commun assembly, made up of students from all of our local sub-councils, we have decide to focus on these key points in this year’s election:
No university without studen well-being
It is fundemental for the university, that students thrive. We want to improve student life by supporting the groups, associations and networks for and by student at Aarhus University. We want to help these groups re-grow after the lock-down by increasing awareness, ensuring that organising activities and meetings is as easy as possible and prioritizing these groups’ presense in the study environments.
No university without clear communication
We will work to ensure transparancy and easy access for students to contact the university, to make complaints or get help and guidance. Communication to the student from the university should be clear and recived in right-time.
No university without high quality, in-class education
Changing classes from physical lectures to online has had negative effects on students concentration and academic results. Aarhus University is a Campus-university and the education should primarily happen on-site. Any conversion of teaching from physical to online, should only be done with respect to education quality and not because of economic or practical concerns.
